Day 1.- Caracas – Choroni
Our tour departs early from Caracas (or other locations such as Valencia), traversing Maracay (the “garden city”) and Henri Pittier National Park – approx 150 kms in total. We will drive through primary rainforest of Henri Pittier National Park – the first national park in Venezuela. The “Coastal Range” reaching an altitude of some 2,200 meters on the way to the coastal haven of Choroni. Check in upon arrival before enjoying a leisurely afternoon to explore the town and visit Playa Grande beach. At dusk enjoy a beautiful sunset from the viewpoint overlooking the village. Dinner at the posada. (D)
Day 2.- Choroni – Tuja
After breakfast there are many options available but one of the best is to take a short boat trip to Tuja beach (approx. 40 minutes) – great coastal views from a different perspective, isolated beaches small islands and possibly dolphins. Upon reaching Tuja, we will set up camp and prepare for paddleboard surfing instruction (optional) – there will be time too to snorkel and simply relax on Tuja’s gorgeous beach. Enjoy a bbq lunch with fresh fish, soft drinks and cocktails. The balance of the day is open to relax, swim with the soothing sound of the rolling waves of the Caribbean.
Day 3.- Choroni – Caracas
After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning on your own to explore your surroundings before lunch and transfer back to Caracas. (B,L)
